When God Sends Forth His Word to Heal

It was September 1986. This was my first ever Gospel Crusade in Rosario, Argentina.

The field was packed with a massive crowd of people. I got up to preach the Gospel.
I opened my Bible and began to read the Scripture from Psalm 103:1-3:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.”

As I read the third verse, I heard screams and shouts from a section of the vast crowd. I looked up in that direction. Suddenly, somebody lifted a wheelchair in the air. The whole crowd began to shout and cheer. As the crowd shouted and praised God, I saw a woman walking from the crowd towards the platform.

She had been paralyzed with her spine broken for 16 years. As soon as she had heard the Word of God, “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases,” the power of God went right through her, and she was made whole.

My friends, there is power in the Word of God. God created the universe by speaking His Word, and now we have that same Word of His power available to us as a Book!

There is power unleashed when the Word of God is read or spoken out. The Bible is life-giving, faith-building. The Lord Jesus said in John 6:63, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

Read the Bible. Speak the Word of God. Meditate on the Word of God. Fill your heart and mind with the Word of God.

Speak God’s Word over sickness, disease, your circumstances. Speak the Word of God over your life, your family, your friends, your church. Never stop. Be relentless with it until things happen!

God will do great and wonderful things in your life, your family, and in whatever you speak His Word over.
