Don’t Fall into this trap!

If you look around, you will see that most ministers and churches are doing a lot of good. However, there are also some who are not doing good, where people are misused and abused.

I see a lot of faults and flaws around me. I see abuse and bullying by leaders, and I have myself been the victim of such abuse and bullying.

However, I have chosen to continue to be a preacher of the Word of God instead of becoming a "watchdog" over the church.

Do notice that "watchdog," "abuse exposer," or "fault finder" are not among the five-fold ministry Gifts.

I know a lot of bad things that happen in the church, and believe me, there was a time when I would, without hesitation, expose the hidden things that went on. Then God dealt with my own heart and pointed out my flaws to me.

He showed me that I should deal with my own faults instead and concentrate on being more like my Lord Jesus. Then I should use my mouth and my pen to preach and teach the Word of God. That would build people up far more than pointing out faults to them.

That is when I learnt the virtue of being quiet and not to point out every ugly thing that went on in the church world. God is watching over His church, and He is well able to bring correction, to rebate, and even remove leaders when He needs to.

Never lose the sweetness of the fragrance of Christ in your life. Stay Sweet! Preach the Word of God, build up people. Build up their faith, get them healed and strong so that they too can build up others.
